Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali lauded Bangladesh's efforts in the comeback against Pakistan in the second Test. He praised the pace-bowling unit headed by Nahid Rana and Hasan Mahmud, as the visitors aim to re-create history on Rawalpindi soil.

Bangladesh are just 143 runs away from a historic victory in what would be a stupendous bowling performance from the visitors. From failing to take the lead against Pakistan's low score of 274, to being in pole position to clinch the victory, Bangladesh have been simply phenomenal on the pitch.

Ali spoke on his YouTube channel about Bangladesh's clear game plan in the second Test match. They are on the verge of handing Pakistan a 2-0 series loss at home, which would result in a whitewash.

What did Basit Ali say about Bangladesh's game plan in the 2nd Test?

Basit Ali applauded the efforts of Bangladesh pacers in the ongoing match in Rawalpindi. Hasan Mahmud picked a fifer, while Nahid Rana bagged four wickets as they bowled out Pakistan for just 172 runs in the second innings.

Pacers picked 14 out of 20 wickets in the second Test, amounting to 70% of the total wickets. Ali also urged the visitors to complete the whitewash over the hosts and show Pakistan a mirror.

"The way all four pacers carried the team on their backs, showed how well a team can fight for the win. When the pacers failed, spinners Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan came into the fray. This is called a team game, Ali stated on his YouTube channel.

He added, "Bangladesh have outclassed Pakistan. They deserve to whitewash Pakistan and then show a mirror to Pakistan cricket on how their standards have gone down while Bangladesh have improved."
