Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir was infuriated at his national teammate Imad Wasim while being on a stint in the Carribean Premier League 2024. The duo represent the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the current edition of the CPL.

Antigua are placed at the bottom of the league table, with three losses in as many games. The team are yet to open their points tally for the campaign, and things have just not gone their way so far.

Anger and frustration peaked for ABF in CPL 2024 when Mohammad Amir was seen furious with his compatriot, Imad Wasim. Both hail from Pakistan, and the bowler was not satisfied with a fielding effort from Imad.

What happened between Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim?

In Antigua's match against Barbados Royals on Sunday, the Pakistan speedster was visibly angry with Imad Wasim. Amir, who hadn't picked a wicket yet against Barbados on the night, was hit for a boundary through fine leg.

Imad was guarding the boundary and was placed right on the rope at the deep backward point region. Quinton de Kock, an experienced campaigner, hit Amir for a soft shot, as the ball crawled towards the boundary.

With the opposition needing 27 to win from 42 balls, the Pakistani all-rounder seemed to have already lost hope of any chances of a win. Wasim lazily approached the ball as it went for a boundary, which left Amir fuming.

What next for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in CPL 2024?

ABF will take on Saint Lucia Kings in their next encounter in the CPL 2024. The match will be played at the North Sound Stadium in Antigua, on September 04, 2024. The proceedings will kickstart at 04:30 AM IST.

It remains to be seen if Imad Wasim will be dropped for his casual attitude on the field.
