Former Indian star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, known for his heroics in World Cups of 2007 and 2011, weighed in on his preferred captaincy choice among three Indian legends—MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli.

While Dhoni and Kohli are often cited as two of India’s finest captains, Yuvraj made an interesting choice during a recent episode of Club Prairie Fire.

Why did Yuvraj Singh pick Rohit Sharma as his top captain over Kohli and Dhoni?

Yuvraj placed his bet on Rohit Sharma for his exceptional leadership skills, particularly in the shortest format of the game.

He highlighted Rohit’s ability to change the course of a T20 match with his aggressive batting and described him as an "outstanding captain."

"Probably I'd go for Rohit Sharma if it's T20 cricket. As a player, I'd go for Rohit, because he's an outstanding captain and can change the game with his batting, for sure, Rohit Sharma would be the first choice," said the star all-rounder.

What did Yuvraj Singh say about MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli?

When it came to the other two modern-day greats, Yuvraj found himself in a tricky situation. Asked to bench one of MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli, he made a light-hearted remark that choosing either would spark headlines globally.

Cleverly sidestepping from any controversy, Yuvraj humorously stated that he would prefer to bench himself instead.

Did Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan agree with Yuvraj’s choice?

Interestingly, Yuvraj was alone in choosing Rohit among one of these stalwarts. Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, chose MS Dhoni when he was asked to chose one in the “start, bench, and drop” segment of the same show.

Adam Gilchrist, the Australian legend, sided with Vaughan in choosing Dhoni as well.
