Sri Lanka have been on a good run of form in Test cricket after their win in the third Test match against England. Since then, they have gone on to defeat New Zealand in the 1st Test and are now edging towards a 2-0 series victory at Galle.

They are on course to register one of the largest wins in a Test match by a margin of innings. After declaring at 602/5, Sri Lanka went on to bowl out the Blackcaps for their lowest score ever against them (88), thanks to a six-wicket haul from Prabath Jayasuriya.

With a lead of 514 runs, the home team opted to enforce a follow-on instead of extending the leading, which by itself would have been a huge target for any chasing team.
