Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is one of the youngest players in the current Indian Test side led the batting for the team after an early top-order collapse.

The opening batter recorded another fifty, continuing his dream run in Test cricket, batting in challenging conditions at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Bangladesh's Hasan Mahmud picked up three early wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, putting the home team under pressure.

After a decent partnership with Rishabh Pant, they were able to take the team to safety with 88/3 at Lunch. However, Pant lost his wicket in the third over after the break, once again to fast bowler Hasan, who recorded his fourth wicket of the Test.

Jaiswal's Test record is being compared to Bradman because the Indian currently has the second-best average (67.75) in Test cricket for players with more than 1000 runs. Bradman averaged 99.94 in his Test career.
