The 2024/25 Champions League league stage rolls into its second round of fixtures, with a lineup of blockbuster clashes between Europe's top-tier teams set to light up the midweek schedule.

The elite European club tournament has expanded from 32 to 36 teams, which will play in single league phase rather than the traditional group stage.

The top eight teams at the end of the league phase will secure their place in the round of 16. Meanwhile, the teams placed ninth to 24th will compete in a two-legged play-off to secure their place in the knockouts.

Real Madrid, the reigning champions, will be aiming to defend their title against a formidable field.
