Chantelle Cameron is more than ready to prove her win over Katie Taylor in May wasn’t a fluke. The undisputed super lightweight champion once again puts her belts on the line against Taylor on November 25. The fight takes place at the 3Arena in Dublin and will air on DAZN.

Born in Northampton, Cameron first held super lightweight gold when she beat Adriana dos Santos Araujo in 2020 for the WBC belt. After beating Mary McGee for the IBF title, she then outpointed Jessica McCaskill to become the undisputed champion.

In the first fight with Taylor, Cameron landed 141 of 565 punches (25%), with the undisputed lightweight titleholder scoring 111 of 284 (39.1%). As well as throwing almost double the amount of shots, Cameron also landed 24 more power shots.

Despite having more than earned her victory last time, the champion is convinced that she can perform at an even higher level.

“I think I can’t be complacent. I’m never complacent. Katie is a great fighter, and I know that all she wants is this revenge,” Cameron said via Boxing Scene. “I’ve just gotta be better.

"Me and (trainer) Jamie [Moore] have been going over the fight over and over, and I’m kind of sick of watching it because I did make so many mistakes. Some of the bits I cringe over. I look back at that and definitely think I’ve got more gears in there. I’ve gotta come back to Dublin, do the business again, and get on with my career.”

The loss for Taylor ended her unbeaten streak. She could have defended her lightweight belts against Amanda Serrano in a rematch, but "The Bray Bomber" wanted to collect more hardware. Becoming a two-division undisputed champion would be the cherry on top of a legendary career.

"Every single fight is a must-win, and I think the attitude of every fighter is that the next fight is the most important one, regardless of what is on the line. I am very aware that this fight is a must-win fight,” Taylor said.
