Rainbow jerseys are on the line this weekend as the top cyclists line up for the last major event of 2024, the men's and women's elite road races at the UCI World Championships.

The women take center stage Saturday, with Lotte Kopecky of Belgium looking to defend her 2023 title after finishing as runner-up in 2022. She'll face a tough challenge from Dutch riders Demi Vollering, Marianne Vos and Annemiek van Vleuten, who won in 2022 and 2019. Keep an eye on American Kristen Faulkner, who won gold in the road race at last month's Paris Olympics.
