The 2022/23 UEFA Europa League provides a chance for another new name on the trophy in the Puskas Arena next year with Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal the current joint favourites to win it.
United are the most recent winners involved in this season's competition with holders Eintracht Frankfurt automatically qualifying for the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League after beating Rangers in last term's final.
The competition's group stage kicks off in September with teams from across Europe dreaming of glory in Hungary in May, 2023.
How does the UEFA Europa League work?
Each round of the 2022/23 Europa League involves a draw to confirm a team's potential path in the competition.
For preliminary rounds, seeding is based on UEFA club coefficients, splitting teams into seeded and unseeded categories to determine their pairings.
For the group stages, teams are divided into four pots to create eight groups of four teams, with one team selected from each pot to complete each group.
Group winners automatically qualify for the knockout round and runners-up compete in playoffs against teams dropping down from the Champions League.

How do the 2022/23 Europa League group stage work?
The 2022/23 Europa League group stage comprises eight groups of four teams from a total of 32 qualified clubs.
Sixteen teams reached the group stages via league/domestic cup routes from 2021/22 with the remaining half combined from Europa League playoff winners and Champions League playoff losers.
Each team will play six group games, between Matchday One (September 8) to Matchday Six (November 3). The four teams in each group play each other twice, home and away.
The group standings are determined first by total points, and then by goal difference. The group winners progress automatically to the knockout round, while those who finish second will enter a playoff round against eight teams dropping out of the Champions League after finishing third in their group.
Those who finish third in their Europa League group will go into a playoff round to enter the Europa Conference League. The teams that finish bottom of the group will be out of European competition for the rest of the season.
How do the 2022/23 Europa League knockout stages work?
The eight group winners will be seeded teams for the Europa League last 16. They will be drawn against the winners of the eight playoff ties in the round of 16, which begins on February 16, 2023.
At this point, the Europa League becomes a straightforward knockout competition. The team that wins via aggregate score in the two-legged last-16 ties will progress to the quarterfinals — another two-legged affair — which take place in April.
The quarterfinal winners go on to the semifinals in May, from which two teams will reach the final.
