Jason Kelce video: ESPN analyst smashes Penn State fan's phone after NSFW comment on Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift image

The Kelce brothers are not afraid to flaunt their significant others.

From Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's public appearances at the US Open and Swift's regular attendance at Chiefs games, to Jason and Kylie Kelce's transparency about their family life, both NFL stars are as secure as can be in their masculinity and their unabashed support of their families.

It should come as no surprise, then, that when Jason was confronted ahead of Saturday's Ohio State-Penn State game about his brother's relationship with the pop star, he immediately shut the scene down.

Sporting News breaks down the video, in which Jason Kelce spikes the harasser's phone into the pavement after the use of a homophobic slur.

Jason Kelce video

The video follows Jason Kelce as he walks outside Penn State's Beaver Stadium through the pregame tailgate Saturday morning. Kelce appeared as a guest on ESPN's "College GameDay," which was visiting State College for the top-five matchup.

A passerby can be heard asking the former Eagles lineman-turned-ESPN NFL analyst: "How does it feel that your brother is a f— dating Taylor Swift?"

Kelce turns toward the man, who was filming the interaction, then takes the man's phone and spikes it into the pavement. Kelce ends the interaction by picking up the phone and walking away.

Another angle shows the fan confronting the Philly legend after the initial incident.

Per the Centre Daily Times, a Penn State police spokesperson said that the department is investigating the incident between Kelce and the heckler, with its crime log listing "criminal mischief" and "disorderly conduct" as potential violations.

Ahead of "Monday Night Football" on ESPN, Kelce opened the network's pregame broadcast with an apology for how he handled the incident.

"I'm not happy with anything that took place. I'm not proud of it. And in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate. And I just don't think that that's a productive thing," Kelce said. "In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn't have."

Jason Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship, explained

Since Swift and Travis Kelce went public last summer, the artist and her boyfriend's brother — along with Jason's wife Kylie and parents Donna and Ed Kelce—have become fast friends. Indeed, Travis first expressed his interest in Swift on the brothers' podcast, "New Heights," in 2023, eventually leading to the two connecting and starting to date.

In August 2023, Jason poked fun at his brother on the podcast for his new facial hair ahead of Chiefs training camp, asking him if he's "found out what Taylor Swift thinks of" his mustache. Travis responded, saying: "We’re not going to bring up Taylor Swift in this episode, but something tells me she’s going to like it," hinting at the pair's budding relationship.

Swift began to attend Kansas City games at the beginning of the 2023 season and continued to make appearances through the Chiefs' Super Bowl run. With the Eagles eliminated and Jason's lengthy career having come to an end, the likely Hall of Famer joined Swift and his family for both the divisional round and the AFC championship game before the title matchup.

Those games marked her first public appearances with Jason and Kylie and the beginning of a flourishing friendship between the two couples.
