F1 returns to its original ‘night race’ this weekend as the Marina Bay Street Circuit hosts the Singapore Grand Prix, marking round 18 of the 2024 season.

Oscar Piastri was the star of the show at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, claiming victory in one of the most exciting races of the year. The McLaren driver put in a stellar performance to outpace Charles Leclerc, with George Russell finishing third after a dramatic late collision between Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez.

Lando Norris has been a force to be reckoned with in the second half of the season, and despite starting 15th, he managed to finish ahead of Max Verstappen in fourth, narrowing the Dutchman’s lead in the championship to 59 points.

With seven races and three sprint races left, the title race is far from over, and fans have plenty to be excited about. It was a tough weekend for Lewis Hamilton, who, after starting from the pit lane, could only manage a ninth-place finish.

In last year’s Singapore GP, Carlos Sainz delivered a stunning victory for Ferrari, which was the only race in 2023 where Red Bull didn’t come out on top.

With time running out, Norris knows he needs to bag a race win soon to really put himself in contention for the championship. The next few races will be pivotal for his title hopes.

The 2024 Singapore Grand Prix race is finally here and for all your TV and streaming details, look no further than The Sporting News for a full guide.
