WWE's developmental brand of NXT will hold their first pay-per-view (PPV) event since their latest reinvention, with the annual WarGames event to take place in early-December.

After moving on from the black-and-yellow to a new-look NXT 2.0, the brand will now have a huge event on December 6th (AEDT).

WarGames has been a fixture for NXT since 2017, and has been headlined by the feature 'War Games match' inside a double-ring cage setup.

Originally created in WCW and NWA back in the 1980s, the match pits two four-man teams against each other.

Two competitors will start the match inside the double-ring cage, with one other member entering at regularly-scheduled intervals until all eight members of the team are inside the cage. At this stage, War Games will begin and the first team to earn a pinfall will win the match.

This year's event will feature two War Games matches - one for the men, one for the women - and will include one of Australia's own superstars, Grayson Waller.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of WWE NXT WarGames 2021.
