Since its inception, All Elite Wrestling has looked to entertain fans in all forms, from the product in the ring to outside of it. A video game was promised, with features that give it a unique look. Fans have patiently been waiting for a game to be released, providing an alternative in the pro-wrestling gaming world.
Finally, AEW: Fight Forever, the long-awaited game, will make its way to living rooms everywhere this summer.
"Since our initial announcement, fans worldwide have shown unbridled passion around the launch of Fight Forever, and AEW has proven through our exciting storylines and hard-hitting wrestling action that good things come to those who wait," said AEW CEO Tony Khan. "With Fight Forever, Kenny and our world-class team have delivered an authentic, nostalgic feel of wrestling games past, along with the unmatched creativity that AEW brings to the table. It's going to be cool to see our fans finally getting a fresh and much-needed alternative next-gen console wrestling game."

The arcade-style video game's design is similar to WWF No Mercy. AEW has worked with YUKE's, the famed developer of the first 3D wrestling video game engine for PlayStation. With an ever-expanding roster and changes to gaming styles, AEW and YUKE's waited until everything was in order until its release.
Here's all you need to know about AEW: Fight Forever, from game features, release date, roster, price, and more.
What is AEW: Fight Forever?
Developed by acclaimed wrestling game developer YUKE's, AEW: Fight Forever is the first game for All Elite Wrestling. Per THQ Nordic, Fight Forever "combines nostalgic, arcade-wrestler feel with innovative AEW finishers and tandem offense moves!"
The game features several pro-wrestling match types: Singles, Tag Team, 3-way, 4-way, Ladder, a Casino Battle Royale, Falls Count Anywhere, Unsanctioned Lights-Out, and the rare Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match.
The game also features a career mode and the opportunity to create a customized wrestler. Along with the character, fans can make their own unique move-set, entrance, team, and arenas to compete in.
Online multiplayer is also a possibility. Evil Uno told Fightful that AEW will pick and choose when certain modes are available.

"They'll have years where GM Mode's there," Uno said. "Some years, it's not. So, yeah. I'm always of the mind that if a game can evolve over time, like — okay, I'm going to drop some gaming stuff here: Deep Rock Galactic, No Man's Sky, games that initially were good, but now two years later are fantastic because they have so much crazy content."
When is AEW: Fight Forever available?
AEW: Fight Forever can officially be purchased on June 29, 2023.
"When I first signed with AEW, Tony Khan gave me the opportunity to assemble the best gaming team that understands and respects professional wrestling, to make the best wrestling games ever," said AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega. "Thanks to our incredible collaboration with Geta, YUKE's, and THQ Nordic, a new era of professional wrestling gaming is quickly approaching. AEW: Fight Forever has exceeded my highest expectations, and I'm confident that June 29 will be a momentous day for wrestling fans and gamers alike."

Who will be in the AEW: Fight Forever video game? Updated roster
A stacked AEW roster will be featured in the Fight Forever game, with over 50+ wrestlers expected. Former AEW wrestler and current WWE star Cody Rhodes will appear in the game. Rhodes was an AEW Executive Vice President from 2018-2022.
"This may come as a surprise to people, but Cody is still in the game," Kenny Omega told Sports Illustrated in 2022. "I was very passionate about making sure his legacy and position within the company were preserved. We've built this game from the ground up, starting everything from scratch. That's why I thought this game could coincide with the birth of this company. You get to experience AEW from the beginning, from day one.
