The Rugby Championship is back for another year as the region's best teams battle it out for Southern Hemisphere supremacy.

The All Blacks won last year's shortened edition, their 10th success in 12 overall tournaments, but will face heavy pressure from World Cup winners South Africa and a Wallabies side with nothing to lose under new coach - and Kiwi - Joe Schmidt.

Never count out Argentina, who are a force to be reckoned with at home.

The Sporting News has all the key details for this year's Rugby Championship in one place.

Each team will play each other twice in consecutive weeks to reduce travel; South Africa will head to Australia first whilst Argentina will try to do the near impossible and defeat the All Blacks in New Zealand.

Australia then makes the long journey to Argentina, whilst two mouthwatering ties will see the Springboks and the All Blacks attempt to get the better of each other in South Africa.

The final set of matches will see the Wallabies attempt to win their first Bledisloe Cup since 2002, whilst South Africa face off against Argentina.

Who has won the most Rugby Championships?

New Zealand has been dominant in The Rugby Championship era, winning 10 of the 13 tournaments to date.

The only times they previously failed to win have been in World Cup years where teams only played each other once.

The first came in 2015 where their loss to Australia saw the Wallabies win, whilst in 2019 it was the Springboks who took out the title.

The 2020 and 2021 tournaments were shortened forms due to the absence of Argentina and South Africa thanks to COVID-19 reasons (Argentina only missed the former, whilst South Africa missed both.)
