The churn at the Sydney Roosters looks set to continue well into the off-season with Terrell May reportedly on the outer at the club.
The Chooks have seen a host of talent already leave with Joey Manu, Joseph Suaalii, Luke Keary and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves moving elsewhere.
May inked a two-year deal worth close to $1 million dollars and appeared to be a cornerstone of Trent Robinson’s pack for years to come.
However, The Sydney Morning Herald have now reported that the rising forward has been told he is free to join a rival club in a shock turn of events.
The Sporting News takes a look at where Terrell May could be plying his trade in 2025.

Where will Terrell May play in 2025?
Sydney Roosters
May only signed a contract extension earlier this year and could decide to try and dig in his heels and stick around in Bondi for the next two seasons.
The 25-year-old made 27 appearances for the Roosters in 2024, featuring predominantly off the bench.
He registered 110 run metres per game, produced 40 offloads and tackled at 97.8 per cent efficiency through the middle to consistently be one of his side’s best.
In fact, his impact off the pine resulted in him named in the RLPA’s Dream Team as the inaugural ‘Impact Player’.
However, SMH have now reported the Roosters do not believe the Samoan international fits in with their vision of the future and would like to move him on.
Canterbury Bulldogs
Canterbury have been in the market for a premium prop for some time, but have so far been unable to land one.
May could be the answer to their problems with his mobility in the engine room a perfect fit for Cameron Ciraldo’s pack.
Max King signed a lengthy deal earlier this year to cement his place up front, but his partner isn’t so clear.
Sam Hughes rose to the occasion last season as he was promoted to being a starter, but it’s uncertain if he is viewed as a long-term option.
Josh Curran provided plenty of impact off the bench as he made a home for himself in the forward rotation.
Meanwhile, Ryan Sutton missed the entire campaign due to injuries, while Chris Patolo, Lipoi Hopoi, Poasa Faamausili and Liam Knight saw limited minutes.
St George Illawarra Dragons
St George Illawarra have plenty of spare cash lying around following their decision to release Ben Hunt from the final year of his contract.
The Dragons have been busy in the market as well, signing Valentine Holmes and Damien Cook, while they are also reportedly on the verge of luring Clint Gutherson to the club.
Shane Flanagan pursued Addin Fonua-Blake when he became available earlier in the year, so could be interested in May.
Francis Molo and Jack De Belin formed a veteran front row pairing for much of the 2024 campaign but could be improved upon via the Roosters forward.
A starting spot could appeal to May at the Red V, with competition for spots relatively light besides Blake Lawrie and the aforementioned duo.
Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are constantly in the market and looking for reinforcements as they attempt to climb up the ladder under Benji Marshall.
David Klemmer is in the twilight of his career, while Stefano Utoikamanu has jumped ship to join Melbourne.
The Tigers were desperate to keep the emerging front rower but were unable to convince him in the face of interest from the Storm.
They tabled a lucrative offer for the Origin representative to remain at Concord, so should be able to afford May should they want to lure him to the club.
Canberra Raiders
Canberra could look to the future and try to lure May to the nation’s capital with Josh Papalii winding down.
The former Australia and Queensland star formed an imposing partnership alongside Joe Tapine over the years but is edging closer to retirement.
The 32-year-old only has a mutual option in his deal to go around again in 2025.
Therefore, Ricky Stuart could be tempted to offer big bucks to May to try and secure a starting prop for the foreseeable future.
Penrith Panthers
A shock contender for May’s signature could be Penrith, who could have some salary cap room and a space up front to fill given James Fisher-Harris’ exit.
Isaiah Papali’i was signed from the Tigers almost immediately after the Kiwi captain’s departure was revealed.
Although the backrower is unlikely to be on anywhere close to the same money as JFH was set to receive.
The Panthers have made a point of promoting from within though with Lindsay Smith and Liam Henry set to receive more minutes, while Luron Patea is highly touted.
Meanwhile, May’s brothers Tyrone and Taylan have both been sacked by the club in the past, so a move to the foot of the mountains would come with some extra baggage attached.
