The 2024 NRL Grand Final pits the top two sides from the regular season - Melbourne and Penrith - against each other.

As well as being a match between the two best sides in the comp, it is also a rematch of the 2020 Grand Final, which the Storm won.

With fans from all corners of the country and the world tuning in, Channel Nine has prepared an extensive cast of commentators and pundits to analyse all the action from the day's play.

Who is commentating on 2024 NRL Grand Final between Melbourne and Penrith?

The commentary for the Storm vs Panthers Grand Final will be led by Mat Thompson, who has been the chief caller for Channel Nine since the retirement of Ray Warren at the end of 2021.

He will be joined in the commentary box by Billy Slater and Andrew Johns, who have both won Clive Churchill Medals in the past.

On the sideline will be former Penrith premiership winner Brad Fittler, alongside Danika Mason, whilst James Bracey will be hosting the pre-match and post-game coverage, as well as the half-time analysis.

The likes of Cameron Smith, Jonathan Thurston, Paul Gallen and Phil Gould will also be on hand to offer their expert analysis on proceedings.

Who is commentating on NRLW and State Championship Grand Finals?

Of course, the men's game is not the only event on a jam packed day of rugby league action, with the NRLW and State Championship Grand Final's also set to take place during the day.

The State Championship Grand Final between Newtown Jets and Norths Devils will be commentated by Peter Psaltis, who will be joined by Gould, Smith, Darren Lockyer and Marlee Silva.

The NRLW final between the Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks will take place at 3:55 p.m. and coverage will be led by Brenton Speed, featuring Thurston, Silva, Ruan Sims and Allana Ferguson.

What time does 2024 NRL Grand Final kick off?

The 2024 NRL Grand Final will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Sunday October 6th.

This has become the normal time for NRL Grand Finals after an experiment with day finals in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
