WWE's 32nd annual Summerslam pay-per-view (PPV) is under three weeks away, and the card for the show is beginning to shape up quite nicely with a plethora of big matches already announced for the event in Toronto, Canada.

On Smackdown Live on Wednesday (AEST), WWE Champion Kofi Kingston laid down a challenge to Randy Orton for the show and 'The Viper' accepted, while Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt was also announced.

But another match is reportedly in the works and will feature the return of Toronto's own - WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, the 7-time WWE Women's Champion will appear on the show and a match with Charlotte Flair was teased briefly on Smackdown and from Flair's Twitter account.

A match between the two would be one of the biggest women's matches in WWE history, as they are the two women with the most reigns as champion and are two of the biggest female stars to set foot in the squared circle.

Stratus retired from in-ring competition way back in 2006, but has made sporadic appearances for the company since - mainly alongside former rival and close friend, Lita.

Her return in her home town of Toronto would no doubt deliver a huge reaction and create even more buzz for WWE's second biggest show of the year.
