Travis Kelce turned in another great campaign during the 2023-24 NFL season.
While he failed to reach 1,000 yards as a receiver for the first time since 2015, Kelce played a key role in Kansas City's return to the Super Bowl. He was the top receiver in Super Bowl 58 and won his third ring in five seasons, further bolstering his case to be considered the greatest tight end in NFL history.
Indeed, Kelce's life on the field has been great, but so has life off it. He began dating Taylor Swift ahead of the 2023 season and rocketed to stardom given his association with the pop star.
Once known mostly to NFL fans, Kelce is now a globally known athlete. His rising star and close connection with Swift have provided him with plenty of unique opportunities during the 2024 NFL offseason.
Kelce has had a lot of fun since winning the Super Bowl, and it doesn't look like he'll be stopping any time soon. Here's a look at everything he's done during the 2024 offseason and what projects he has in the works off the gridiron.

Travis Kelce, Chiefs win Super Bowl 58
Kelce's offseason didn't begin until the Chiefs won Super Bowl 58 in overtime. It marked their second consecutive title and third in five years, with Kelce playing a big role in Kansas City's win.
Kelce had just one catch for one yard in the first half, but he recorded eight grabs and 92 yards in the second half. That made him the Super Bowl's leading receiver, though Mecole Hardman scored the game-winning touchdown to give Kelce his third ring.
Kelce was elated after the game and celebrated by embracing his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, ahead of the trophy ceremony. That happy moment after the Super Bowl kickstarted what has been a fun-looking offseason for the 34-year-old tight end.
Travis Kelce attends Chiefs Super Bowl parade, sings 'Friends in Low Places'
Kelce's next stop was the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade. He made his presence felt at the event by delivering a drunken performance of Garth Brooks' hit song "Friends in Low Places" for the crowd on hand at the event.
"If you know this song, sing along," he shouted, before attempting to sing — and parodize — the rest of the song. "Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots, and ruined the Niners affair."

Kelce's heavily slurred rendition of the 1990 hit may not have sounded great, but it still caught the attention of Brooks. The singer-songwriter invited Kelce to perform at the opening of his "Friends in Low Places Honky Tonk and Bar" in Nashville.
"Big man, I’m just telling you this — I will be at the grand opening if you’re there," Brooks said. "I’ll send a plane if you want another shot at the title. If you want to come sing that, I’ll send a plane. You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that.
"So, yes, I’ll be happy to send this invite out to you if you want to try a little 'Friends in Low Places' in Friends in Low Places."
Kelce didn't take Brooks up on the offer, but the tight end's rendition of Brooks' best-known song will live on in the memory of all who saw it. So, too, will Kelce's attempt at performing the Chiefs' tomahawk chop song.

Travis Kelce attends Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Sydney
Swift attended plenty of Kelce's games throughout the 2023 NFL season and during Kansas City's Super Bowl run. He returned the favor by traveling to Australia to see Swift perform her Eras Tour show live.
Kelce appeared for the show and was greeted by a raucous chorus of screeches from Swifties. He seemed to enjoy the performance, which he took in with his friend and former NFL tight end Ross Travis.

Swift subtly acknowledged Kelce's presence during her set. She changed the lyrics to one of her songs to "karma is the guy on the Chiefs," a move she has made at times throughout her tour to honor her partner.

Jason Kelce retires from NFL, with Travis Kelce in attendance
Travis' older brother Jason retired from the NFL after a 13-year career with the Eagles. The center called out his brother during his lengthy retirement speech and explained how proud he was of his little brother when Jason's Eagles lost to Travis' Chiefs in Super Bowl 57.
"I won't forget falling short to the Chiefs and the conflicted feeling of a man's heartbreak I had selfishly, for myself and for my teammates. And at the same time, the amount of pride I had for my brother, who had climbed the mountain top once again," Jason said.
"We have a small family. ... It was really my brother and I our whole lives. We did almost everything together. Competed, fought, laughed, cried, and learned from each other.
"... There is no chance I would be here without the bond that Travis and I share. It made me stronger, tougher, smarter, and taught me the values of cooperation, loyalty, patience, and understanding."
The younger Kelce was moved to tears by the speech. He later addressed his brother calling it quits on the "New Heights" podcast and how "empty" it feels to have Jason out of the league.
"You've always been a step ahead of me, and it's always been like I've had that flotation device right there," Travis said. "And to have to have you out of it, man, it feels... it feels empty, and it definitely feels like it's complete."
Travis Kelce sees giant greenhouse while at Taylor Swift's concert in Singapore
Kelce went to see another of Swift's concerts in Singapore during March. During it, he got a chance to tour the biggest greenhouse in the world, which he found thrilling.
"I got to check out the world's largest greenhouse, how about that?" Kelce said on the New Heights podcast. "I'm a huge plant guy. I love seeing f—ing enormous trees ... it was cool as f—. They had the world's biggest waterfall in a greenhouse, too. It was awesome.
"The way the whole thing was laid out, it was a very controlled space and everything was blooming at the same time. It was so f—ing unique and so nice."
Travis Kelce receives diploma while co-hosting 'New Heights' podcast live in Cincinnati
Kelce graduated from Cincinnati in 2022 but didn't officially receive his diploma until April 2024. It came as part of a special, live recording of his "New Heights" podcast at his alma mater.

Travis' brother Jason also received a diploma as part of the special ceremony. The two later hosted the "Lombaby Games" at the school to raise money for the Bearcats' NIL programs.
Unfortunately, Jason lost his Super Bowl ring in a vat of Skyline chili during the recording, but the show and competition were well-received nonetheless.

Travis Kelce lands gig as 'Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?' reboot host
Kelce's newfound celebrity helped him land a unique gig as a game show host during the 2024 NFL offseason. He will host the revival of "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?"
The program ran from 2007-11 and was hosted by Jeff Foxworthy. It was revived in both 2015 and 2019, but its producers are evidently hopeful Kelce's presence will get viewers to tune in.
Either way, he's looking forward to the opportunity to do something different with his skill set.
"I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with 'Are you Smarter than a Celebrity,' Kelce said in a statement announcing the news.
It will be interesting to see if Kelce's performance is as well-received as Aaron Rodgers was during his brief stint as a Jeopardy cohost.
Taylor Swift releases new album, prompting speculation of songs about Travis Kelce
Swift released her latest album — "The Tortured Poets Department" — on April 19. Immediately, fans of Swift's music looked for any references to the couple, who have affectionately earned the nickname of "Tayvis" among hard-core Swifties.
"The Alchemy" and "So High School" stood out as the ones in which Kelce was most prominently hinted. There were several sports metaphors in the former with Swift seemingly referencing Kelce's actions after the Super Bowl with a few lines.
Beers stickin' to the floor, cheers chanted 'cause they said 'There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league' Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me.
Meanwhile, "So High School" saw Swift reference Kelce opening car doors for him as well as his decision to "kiss" Swift in a resurfaced video of him playing "Kiss, Marry, Kill" with the three options being Swift, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande.
Travis Kelce signs contract extension to become NFL's highest-paid tight end
Kelce hasn't just had fun during the offseason. He handled some important business, as well. He signed a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs to make him the NFL's highest-paid tight end. He added $34.25 million in total value to his contract, giving him a position-high $17.2 million average annual value (AAV) as part of his contract.
The Chiefs also extended Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach, so their brain trust and top players are all under contract long-term as they aim for a third consecutive Super Bowl title.

Travis Kelce lands role in Ryan Murphy's TV series 'Grotesquerie'
Kelce isn't just trying his hand at being a game show host. He's also making a foray into the acting world and will have a role in Ryan Murphy's new TV series "Grotesquerie."
Murphy — best known for creating and producing "Glee," "American Horror Story," and "9-1-1" — once helped pop star Lady Gaga transition successfully into the acting world, so he will be tasked with doing the same with Kelce.
It isn't yet clear what role Kelce will play in his "first major acting job." Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville will also star in the series, which does not yet have a release date. Murphy released a teaser for the show on his Instagram.
The series just started production, so it will be some time before NFL fans can see Kelce acting on the small screen (at least in non-commercial form).
