Summer Jam

One of Australia's most exciting basketball events is fast approaching, with the 2025 Summer Jam set to be held in Melbourne next year.

But before teams can contest that, they'll have to survive Crash the Court, a series of high-stakes qualifiers held all across the globe.

With events played in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines, Crash the Court will determine which teams have what it takes to compete for street ball immortality, and the very first Summer Jam World Championship.

What is Crash the Court?

Crash the Court is a qualification tournament held in the lead up to 2025 Summer Jam.

Across five cities, 64 teams will do battle to earn a spot in the big dance, held next year in Melbourne.

For the first time ever, Summer Jam has expanded to be a truly international tournament, welcoming in contestants from a number of countries in these events to be held across the month of October.

The winner of each city's Crash the Court tournament will stamp their ticket to Summer Jam, with the winner also taking home a cash prize.

"Streetball has always been about community, culture, and the love of the game," Summer Jam co-founder Daniel Ella said.

"By unifying our history of national qualifiers into Crash the Court, we’re not just continuing a tradition; we’re redefining it.

"This event is more than just a tournament, it’s a celebration of the journey every hooper takes, from local courts to the world stage."
