UEFA Champions league results today: Fixtures, scores as City held, PSG leave it late image

There was a bit of late drama and a surprise result in Thursday morning's matches in the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester City and Erling Haaland fired a blank for the first time this season, whilst PSG needed a late goal from an unlikely source to avoid the same fate.

Also in action were last year's finalists Borussia Dortmund, as well as some Champions League debutants.

Here are all the results from Thursday's games in Europe's premier club competition.

UEFA Champions League scores, results

The most surprising result came in Manchester as Man City were held to a goalless draw by Italian champions Inter.

In a rematch of the 2023 final, Pep Guardiola's side had 22 shots, but only managed to put five on target in a wasteful display; Kevin de Bruyne also went off injured at half time in a concerning sign for City, who face title rivals Arsenal in the league on the weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain needed a late goal from fullback Nuno Mendes to sneak away with a 1-0 win at home to debutants Girona, with a mistake from goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga allowing the French champions to win the game after being foiled on numerous occasions by a brave Girona side.

It was a mixed bag for the other debutants; Bologna were also involved in a scoreless draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in one of the early games, whilst Slovakian minnows Slovan Bratislava were trounced 5-1 by a ruthless Celtic side in Glasgow.
