Hassan Saada is being held by police after allegedly committing the assaults earlier this week.

A statement from Civil Police Delegate Carolina Solomon in Recreio dos Bandeirantes confirmed a Brazilian judge has ordered the 22-year-old be held for a period of 15 days while an investigation is conducted.

Saada was set to have his first light heavyweight bout of the games on Saturday, but has reportedly been stripped of his Olympic competitor status.
